Open Exhibition 2025

An exhibition of selected work hosted by Poole and East Dorset Art Society (PEDAS)

PEDAS invite artists living within a 30 mile radius of Poole, to create new and original work in any visual art medium (except photography or video), for entry to this year’s Open Exhibition.

​The deadline for submission(s) is midnight on 20 November 2025

• Entry fees: £10 for one submission in 2D or 3D (reduced fee for more than one entry) (no refunds for any work not selected);
• The Selector this year will be Paul Newman, Creative Director for Dorset Visual Arts;
• Artwork selected will be exhibited at The Gallery Upstairs, above the Tea Rooms at Upton Country Park, from 5 to 20 December 2025;
• Exhibition Launch/Private View on Saturday 6 December;
• Cash prizes totalling £600 will be awarded at the discretion of the Selector, and includes a ‘People’s Vote’;
• Commission on sales: 15%.

About The Gallery Upstairs

The Gallery Upstairs is a non-commercial exhibition space, run on a voluntary basis by Poole & East Dorset Art Society (PEDAS); the gallery shows work by local professional and non-professional artists including art societies, local education classes and community groups. 

Admission is free.

The gallery is fully accessible by steps or lift from the Tea Rooms.
