An area in the shoreline meadows (indicated in yellow on the map above) has been fenced off while Wessex Water undertakes essential repairs to a damaged pipe at Upton Country Park. This work is expected to continue into 2025, and is not related to the major sewerage scheme completed in another part of the park earlier this year.
Footpaths and cycle routes will remain open as usual, and there will be no removal of trees or shrubs. Wessex Water will be re-lining the damaged pipe underground to minimise disruption and any environmental impact. A temporary access road is being built which will enable the main entrance car park to re-open in the new year.
Please be aware that there may be noise from heavy machinery during this period. We kindly ask that you do not enter the work zones and follow all safety signage on site.
Thank you for your understanding.
