Did you know that we hold a collection of around 500, historical, handwritten letters?
They mostly date from 1903-1918, and were written to Ada (Wigan, Gaskell) Llewellin; William Llewellin’s second wife.
The letters were sent by William himself, Ada’s children, and other members of her family, and her friends. They make fascinating reading.
We are looking for volunteers to help transcribe these letters to make them accessible to others online, and to preserve them for future generations to read.
This is something that you can do from home in your spare time. The letters have been scanned and ideally you will have the means to access the scans remotely, and type the content of each letter on a computer. Full training will be given.
