Spring/Summer Events Update
We so enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend here at the Country Park. And not just because of the beautiful weather! The estate provided a blaze of new colour as a backdrop to a busy few days – with a visit by Peter Rabbit, an Easter Egg Trail, donkey rides in the meadow, spring lambs with their mums in the fields and an early surprise turning on of the splash fountain in the Walled Garden! Thank you to all that came along to join in with the fun, we hope you loved it as much as we did!
Now, here’s what we can look forward to over the next couple of months …
Free Nordic Walking Taster Session
This Saturday, 27th April at 10am a 45 minute introductory session that will help you understand just how beneficial Nordic walking can be and how it is far more than just walking with poles!
Booking essential, please see details at Nordic Walking UK
Free outdoor Yoga returns to the Park
Following a fabulously successful introduction in 2018, we’re delighted that Park Yoga is returning for the summer – and the first session is on Sunday, 5th May from 9.30-10.30am. Park Yoga is a free, healthy outdoor activity, suitable for all ages & abilities, including children. Sessions this year are in the Walled Garden every Sunday through until September. Extra tickets released!
Music events have always been hugely popular in the Country Park … and the two open air Dance in the Park concerts here in June are certainly no exception! Tickets soon sold out, but the good news is more have just been released!
They’re selling like the proverbial hot cakes though, so pop over to Starlight Concerts read all about the shows and book now!

New Pod in the Park
This spring and summer look out for our new ‘Pod in the Park’ caterpod serving refreshing seasonal treats and drinks to those who are ‘on-the-go’ in the Country Park … especially parents with active offspring, and dog walkers who are unable to take their pooches into the Tea Rooms.
Please remember to always dispose of waste packaging/beverage cups responsibly!
The Gallery Upstairs
The Gallery Upstairs is a non-commercial gallery, exceptionally well run by volunteers from the Poole & East Dorset Art Society. It can be found above the Tea Rooms with easy access by stairs and lift, admission is free and there are inspiring works to enjoy throughout the year. Find out what’s on & what’s coming up at www.thegalleryupstairs.org.uk
British Sandwich Week will be celebrated in the Tea Rooms, the crazy Dorset Rainbow Run will be pelting their way around the park (all in a good cause), there’s an Audience with best-selling author Heidi Parks, and the return of Open Air Cinema for 4 evenings in August …
