New park signage requesting visitors to stay safe and act sensibly

Whilst it’s lovely to see so many people enjoying a picnic and getting their exercise across the Estate during this glorious sunny weather, we have found it necessary to remind visitors to act safely and responsibly during their time here. So we are putting up signage and using the website to make visitors aware before they come that the use of BBQs and gas stoves is banned across the the Country Park.

Some areas of the park are busier than usual; in those areas we would remind everyone to maintain social distancing at all times, keeping 2m apart from other users. And we request that cyclists are aware of of their impact on social distancing efforts, please keep to the 5mph speed restriction and dismount whenever you come across groups of people on footpaths.

We are also reminding dog owners to clear up after your pooches – and (all visitors) if rubbish bins are full we’d be really grateful if you could take your litter home with you; the wildlife have a party with it through the night and it gets strewn everywhere by morning.

Our team is somewhat stretched during these difficult times, and we don’t have our wonderful team of volunteers to give us a helping hand as we normally would.

So please help us keep our special Country Park as beautiful as it can be – be considerate, be safe, be sensible.
