January in the Country Park

2 January, 2019

After a hectic, magical Christmas full of good cheer and a fabulous variety of fun activities, we are settling in for a somewhat quieter January. We’ll be carrying out some routine maintenance in preparation for a busy 2019, and working on another great year of events and entertainment.

Christmas Tree recycling until 6th January

When you have finished with your real Christmas tree this year, drop it off at the main entrance car park (on your left just inside the gates) and we will happily recycle it for you. Last day for accepting trees is 6th January.

7th-18th January Tea Rooms closure

We’ll be deep cleaning and redecorating the Tea Rooms. As a result both the Tea Rooms and The Gallery Upstairs will be closed for a few days (apologies for any inconvenience caused). But you don’t have to go without a warming cuppa, our Caterpod, serving drinks & snacks, will be parked between the Walled Garden & Plant Centre during this period, 9.30am – 3pm, with outdoor seating available in the Courtyard and the Walled Garden.

The Tea Rooms and The Gallery Upstairs will re-open on Saturday 19th January.

Come & Dance in the Park!

This June Upton Country Park will host two spectacular open air concerts with Starlight Concerts, featuring top tribute acts celebrating music legends! Queen & Abba on 21st June, Motown & Michael on 22nd June. Don’t miss out! Book your tickets early (save £5 per adult ticket until 22nd April), bring a picnic and dance under the stars! And bring the kids – 16s and under go for just £1! Tickets via Eventbrite, booking fees apply.

We have lots of other exciting plans for 2019, we’ll be revealing more soon. Meantime a very Happy New Year to all our lovely visitors and volunteers from everyone in the Country Park team!
