April 2019

Hello and welcome. We are preparing proposals for Heritage Lottery funding to improve the visitor experience, habitat management and sustainability in the Country Park.

As part of that we are excited to be working with Imagemakers Interpretive Design & Consultancy to develop ideas for a range of interpretation and information features to help people find their way around and tell the Park’s many stories. To help us get it right we need your views!

Concept designs are included in our pdf presentation; they explain the proposals we have worked up with Imagemakers and we would love to receive your thoughts on them.

We look forward to hearing from you.

When you have inspected the design presentation please let us have your comments by completing the online feedback form below, by the end of April:

1. Upton House and Estate
This is an historic estate closely intertwined with local history and the fortunes of Poole

2. The Families of Upton
Upton House has been a home to many different people, including merchants, mayors and a royal prince

3. Poole's Newfoundland Trade
The 18th Century fortunes of both Upton House and Poole were built on the salt cod trade

4. Gardens and Habitats
The estate offers vitally important and diverse environments for a wide range of wildlife in the formal gardens, at the shoreline and across the Park
