We’re trialling some Photography Workshops and Tutorials this year!
Upton Country Park has teamed up with some expert locally-based photographers to host a series of Photography Workshops.
Maybe you’ve always wanted to get to know a little more about what your cameras capable of, meet some new people and experience the Country Park from a different perspective? We’re sure these one day workshops will help and develop your skills.
A Season Ticket will give you the flexibility and freedom to visit the Country Park without having to use the Pay and Display machines which start operating from 3rd April.
For just £40 a year you’ll be able to register two vehicles per household and visit the Country Park (during normal Country Park opening hours) an unlimited number of times throughout the year. You can also rest assured all monies generated from our car parks are being invested directly back into the Estate, so you’ll be helping to ensure many future generations of families can enjoy our beautiful Grade II* listed House and grounds.
If you’d like help purchasing your ticket we’ll be in the Tea Rooms to answer questions and provide assistance on: Wednesday 15th March, Saturday 18th March, Sunday 19th March and Thursday 23rd March 2017.
Upton Country Park’s Discovery Project is launched!
People • Heritage • Landscapes. The Discovery Project will support a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) in the region of £1.5 million, with the aim of creating an accessible and sustainable heritage attraction for the local community to relax, enjoy and learn in.
Celebrating the rich and varied heritage that the Country Park has to offer, through the Discovery Project we will restore our historical features, re-instate landscapes that have been lost over time and enhance our grounds.
We’re very pleased to re-launch our new Pétanque pitch on the front lawn which is now available for private and club bookings as well as have a go sessions. Why don’t you pop down, hire some boules from Upton House and learn how to play with your family or friends the next time you’re here.
Boules are available to hire from the house for £5 deposit. Pre-booking for larger groups advisable; please call 01202 262753 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope you enjoy this lovely free facility this summer.
Come and explore our new views!
We’re delighted to announce that, after months of hard work, our new meadows overlooking Holes Bay and Poole Harbour are now officially open. We’ve created over 6 hectares of additional open space that beautifully showcase the wetlands and shoreline of the SSSI protected Holes Bay. A magnificent area for bird watching in the autumn and the perfect place to have fun all year round with our Giant Picture Frame and Stream Splash area (great for dogs wanting to cool off in warmer months).
There are benches to relax and enjoy the wildlife as well as easy access wide paths that connect Hamworthy right through to Poole. Great for cyclists, dog walkers, runners and families alike, there really is something for everyone in this beautiful new area of our Country Park. It’s now time for us to excitedly look forward to Phase 3 when we open up the higher fields as well. We hope all our visitors enjoy the open space, and thank you to everyone who helped create it!
