Cult Screens Open Air Cinema is coming to the Walled Garden this summer. The cinema will be here 15th-17th June, and returning 31 August-2nd September.

Screening: The Lost Boys 15th June; Rogue One 16th June; Dirty Dancing 17th June.

Enjoy high definition projection, giant screens and superb audio.The events offer a range of ticket options, from bring your own to a choice of seating options including deckchairs, single bean bags and double bean bags to cuddle up on. Maybe you’ve always wanted to get to know a little more about what your camera is capable of, meet some new people and experience the Country Park from a different perspective? We’re sure these one day workshops will help and develop your skills. £45 per adult (over 16's only) includes refreshments, including a buffet lunch and tea.

BioBlitz Day

Meet us in the Walled Garden and help the team record all of the wonderful wildlife we have around the Country Park. 

All ages welcome. Children’s activities include pond dipping, bird walk, dragonfly survey, butterfly bingo and wildflower surveys.  Each event takes an hour – full details will be published here and on our Facebook page soon.

Rainbow Run Dorset

Starting point: the Front Lawn

This 3k fun run is not about speed or fitness, it's about celebration, having crazy fun with friends, family and colleagues all while raising vital funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices for children and young adults. You will be pelted with powdered paint, creating a colourful spectacle as you make your way around the Country Park.

Now in its 9th year, this family weekend of entertainment offers something for everyone - including Galloping Acrobatics Horse Display Team, birds of prey flying displays, The Purbeck Ferrets, terrier racing, children’s entertainer Mario Magic, the goat show including bottle feeding lambs and kids, children’s petting pens, historical re-enactment and much much more. Upton House parkrun every Saturday morning at 9am. A weekly 5km (3.1 mile) run for pure enjoyment - come along and join in whatever your pace. Visit www.parkrun.org.uk/uptonhouse for full details and course map.

Nordic Walking Classes every Friday at 9.30am for 1 hour. A great low impact outdoor activity using Nordic Walking poles which provide stability whilst recruiting between 80-90% of the muscles in the body. £4 per session, meet in the main car park.

Free Health Walks The Poole Healthy Walks Scheme offers free walks led by trained volunteers. Every Friday at 11.30am for an advanced walk extending to Upton Heath, and at 12 noon for a shorter walk within Upton Country Park. There is also a walk within the Country Park on every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10am. No need to book, just turn up and join in ... and be sure to stay for some post-walk refreshments. New walkers always welcome. Meet by the bus stop in the main car park.

Segway Tours Running up to 10 times a day throughout the year - a unique way to enjoy the Country Park! Take a guided Segway tour gliding through the beautiful gardens and woodland with a qualified instructor whilst you take in the abundance of plants and wildlife around you.
