The Park has a network of hard-surfaced wheelchair friendly footpaths. There are several kissing gates throughout the estate; each is accessible with a RADAR key. Accessible toilets are located in the car park and by the Tea Rooms (RADAR key).
The Education Centre is accessed via a wheelchair friendly ramp. Access to Upton House ground floor includes entrance/exit ramps and toilet facilities.

Upton Country Park has teamed up with professional artist Julie Herring to bring you the ‘Drawing from Nature’ series of classes that span the seasons and make the most of the natural beauty of Upton Country Park. With Julie's expert guidance you will be able to gain advice on how to improve your drawing skills during the classes.
Julie Herring is a local artist with her own Earth Art & Design studio and classroom at Furzebrook in Purbeck; she specialises in teaching and encouraging observational drawing skills inspired by nature.
All classes run from 10am - 12.30pm, and will meet at the Education Centre by the Tea Rooms.
‘Walk and Draw’ is an outdoor class that involves a gentle stroll through the Country Park, contemplating landscapes such as parkland, shoreline, woodland, the walled garden and duck pond to observe and draw seasonal subjects.
‘Walk and Draw’ classes take place on the first Sunday of each month from February - November:
4th February, 4th March, 8th April, 6th May, 3rd June, 1st July, 5th August, 2nd September, 7th October and 4th November.
‘Nature Journal’ is an informal and friendly drawing class that will take place either during a gentle walk within the Country Park or as an indoor activity, each Tuesday of every other month through the seasons starting in March:
6th, 13th, 20th & 27th March
1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th May
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st July
4th, 11th, 18th & 25th September
6th, 13th, 20th & 27th November
Classes cost £15per adult (over 16s only); refreshments & Julie’s guidance included, all abilities welcome and no booking required. If you attend three consecutive ‘Nature Journal’ sessions you can enjoy the 4th for just £5.
You will need a cartridge paper sketchbook and 2B/soft pencils (coloured pencils optional). You are welcome to bring a folding seat, binoculars and camera should you wish to.
